Go for Broke: The UBS trader arrested yesterday in connection with the loss of $2 billion from unauthorized trading has hired Kingsley Napley to represent him, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.

Limited Agression: The New York Times?has a front-page story on Obama's legal team weighing how much leighway the U.S. has to kill Islamist militants. The decision could put limits on the war on terror.

Reprieve:?Last night the Supreme Court granted a stay of execution for Duane Buck, the man convicted of a double murder in Texas. Buck's lawyers argued that Buck deserves a new sentencing because race was a factor in the 1997 sentencing. The Texas Tribune reports that Buck already had eaten his last meal of?fried chicken, salad, French fries, fried fish, jalape?o peppers and apples when he was informed of his reprieve.

Billion Dollar Photo: The Smoking Gun acquired the mugshot for?Raj Rajaratnam, the billionaire hedge fund manager convicted of conspiracy and securities fraud. The photo won't help him in the sentencing phase.
